🎤 MalXCap: A Method for Malware Capability Extraction

Summary: I talked about how malware is becoming more advanced, and traditional analysis methods don’t capture everything these threats can do. I presented a method named MalXCap, which my team developed to dig deeper into malware capabilities. Instead of just classifying the malware, it looks at the API call patterns to uncover multiple hidden functionalities. I also shared how we analyzed 8,000 samples, identified 12 key capabilities, and achieved 97% accuracy with MalXCap, helping security professionals understand malware better and improve defenses.
